About us
With the aim of bolstering corporate integrity in Mexico, in 2019 the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Mexico and the United Kingdom's Department for International Development (DFID), in coordination with the Department of International Trade (DIT), the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the British Embassy in Mexico, undertook a strategic collaboration to implement the project "Strengthening the capacities of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to identify and combat corruption risks”, which is part of the Business Integrity Initiative (BII).
BII, led by the UK Government, is a multi-stakeholder initiative by DFID, DIT and FCO. The main objective of BII in Mexico is to support companies, particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to integrate the identification, analysis, mititgation and overall management of corruption risks in their corporate strategies while adopting and promoting a corporate integrity culture.

In order to effectively materialize the targets of SDG 16 and address the challenges of the private sector in Mexico, the Internal Organization Manual offers a guide to establish a corporate governance model that describes the co-responsibility of all members across the company in the fight against bribery and corruption. The Manual demonstrates that actors at all levels have the potential to promote just, peaceful and inclusive societies, guided by an active citizenship that participates in the co-creation of value by sustaining honest and socially responsible economies.

The Guide to establishing the Whistleblowing Channel presents a proposal for procedures that facilitate and promote anonymous complaints, providing security to avoiding retaliation, as well as other practices to the detriment of the liberties and fundamental rights of individuals. Manual to Design a Policy for Receiving Gifts, Hospitality and Donations
The Manual to Designing a Policy or Protocol in case of receiving gifts, hospitality and donations presents a proposal based on the UK Anti-Bribery Act. This handbook explains why is it important and how to establish an ethical treatment, based on the rules to which the company adheres, to determine the procedure to follow in the event of receiving gifts or donations. The tool seeks to harmonize the provisions of the code of ethics and corporate practices to prevent the execution of acts of bribery or corruption with the potential of generating high costs for the trust and development of the company, the community and the country.

Corporate Integrity
assessment tool
The Integrity Assessment Tool aims to offer MSMEs a mechanism to identify, analyse and mitigate corruption risks in their corporate practices. This product is accompanied by a digital application that will allow companies to carry out their self-diagnosis in a didactic way on an online platform and thus know their corruption risk level and access substantive resources and practical recommendations to be able to prevent and mitigate these harmful acts. The Tool conducts its components in strict adherence to the provisions of articles 66 to 72 of the General Law of Administrative Responsibilities, contextualizing efforts to combat corruption in local regulatory frameworks.
